Summer is drawing to a close and there will be many families whose thoughts are already turned towards getting ready for another school year.  BUT….. summer is not over until you have attended the ANNUAL OUT OF AFRICA CLUB BRAAI!  This will be the 17^th year the Club has held the braai.  It will be at Lake Sammamish State Park again.

 

Your committee and fellow members would like to see the Club host more gatherings during the year.  But before we can do this we need your ideas for events that will be well attended and/or be of benefit to our community at large.  Perhaps you are a great party organizer, have connections in the entertainment field or have other skills and connections that could be parlayed into a great club event.

 

We are hoping to form a Teenager/Young Adult Committee this year with a view to holding at least one annual event for this age bracket.  We are seeking volunteers to help get this committee off the ground. Organizing a committee and an event would be an excellent experience for a high school or college student and it would look great on a resume.  So if you know a young person who you feel would be interested, please send us an email.

 

We would also like to swell the ranks of our current committee so if you have an interest in helping in anyway please contact thesvy@outofafricaclub.com  We meet quarterly and all duties are shared so the individual load is light. We would love to have you join.
